The location is in Tuscany, on the south-east side of the Brunello di Montalcino production area, in the old town of Castelnuovo Abate; the cellar is in an old building of the 18th century where there was an olive oil mill. The premises have been restored and made suitable for a cellar with high respect of their original structure so that now in the undergound there is a beautiful ageing room with a natural protection from the outside temperature fluctuations.


Our vineyards are made of two major parts, the first one, that is called Poggio al Sole is located between the towns of Castelnuovo Abate and S.Angelo in Colle. It's of 3.5 Ha, it faces south-east and is at an altitude of 200 m above sea level, the soil is partially clay and tufo. The plantation system is at 1,8 x 0,8 m and the vines come from a clone selection of ours. The second one, Pian Bossolino, is at a few kilometres from Castelnuovo Abate in the direction of Montalcino on the east side of the Brunello production area and it has an exceptional position exposed to east-south-west with a hill on the north side that protects from the cold northern winds; the altitude is about 350 m ,the vineyard extends for about 3 Ha and has a galestro soil.
